Jaffer Welcomes Republican Bledsoe’s Support for Oregon House District 23
Independence, OR – May 21, 2018 – Today, retired Naval aviator Danny Jaffer released the following statement in response to Republican Kris Morse Bledsoe’s announcement that she is supporting Jaffer for Oregon House District 23:
“It’s an honor to have Kris Morse Bledsoe’s support,” said Jaffer. “Kris is a principled conservative who campaigned for the Republican nomination with integrity, class, and a deep commitment to public service. The support she earned shows that voters are sick and tired of the extreme and destructive partisanship we’ve seen from too many legislators in Salem, especially our current State Representative,” Jaffer added. “I look forward to working with Kris to craft bipartisan solutions that will provide great schools so our kids are ready upon graduation, tax fairness so our small business owners can get ahead, and clean air and water so our farms, forests, and vineyards can thrive.”
Bledsoe called on those who voted for her to vote for Jaffer in the general election. Incumbent State Rep. Mike Nearman received 5,680 votes in the May 15 primary. Jaffer and Bledsoe received a combined 6,481 votes. The general election is November 6, 2018.
